Case Histories: allergies and intolerances
Stomach disorders, feeling bloated, headaches and depression can often be traced to underlying allergies. In addition, allergies are often the cause of more obvious symptoms like skin rashes, eczema, asthma, hay fever. House dust mites and animal hairs also create difficulties for many people.
It seems that allergic reactions are becoming more common as people become sensitised to substances in our food and in the world around us.
All our HK practitioners learn about allergies as an integral part of their training programme and can work with clients to identify which allergens are causing the symptoms and then work to remove the allergic reaction, bringing relief to people who have sometimes been putting up with discomfort for many years. |

An allergy to dog hairs
When I started training to become an HK Practitioner (HK1) I asked my friend if she would allow me to practise on her. She said that she was more than happy for me to do so. At our first session I remembered that I had to raise the couch head up and get an extra pillow because my friend was very nasally and she always sneezed when she comes to my house. I have two dogs and I always tried to consciously remind her to take her antihistamines tablets.
Anyway at one of the sessions it came up that she needed to have an Allergy Tap done for dog hairs. We both smiled when this came for reasons previously mentioned. We did the Allergy Tap and then thought no more of it.
She came for her next treatment (4 weeks later) and I noticed that at the end of the session she was stroking my dogs (something she did not do willing) and was not sneezing! I asked if she had taken an antihistamine tablet and she said "no...! No...! No I have not". I was so pleased and she clearly was too at the realisation of this.
When I next saw my friend she said that the same thing had happened when she had visited her mother, who has a dog with long hair. No allergic reaction. In fact she is so pleased with the results achieved by HK that she now wants some allergy work done around cat hair as well!

An allergy to proteins in wheat, milk and other foods.
Pat T, 64, arrived in April 2007 for an allergy testing session and was dismayed to be told she was allergic to all complete proteins, as well as wheat, cow's milk and numerous other substances. She had experienced depression for many years, combined with an intermittent itchy rash on her lower limbs, bloating, migraines, joint pains and restless sleep. After discussing her options, Pat decided to come back for some HK sessions.
Pat's body retained a great deal of stress from a difficult and violent childhood, so this stress and retained anger began to be released during her first session using various HK energy corrections. In addition her body requested the SET:Allergy Detox correction for 'indole' [a chemical found in all complete proteins], so that she would begin to absorb more nourishment from her food.
During the following two months, Pat had two more sessions where each time her body released another layer of shock and trauma from her childhood, followed by some more allergy work.
By July 2007, her depression had gone completely, as had all of her other symptoms, including the itchy rash, and Pat found a complete new lease of life. In her own words, Pat wrote:
"I first visited Janice in April 2007 as I had suspected for some time that I had certain food intolerances causing skin rashes, joint pains and headaches. She tested me and discovered several allergies and advised me to avoid certain foods for 6 weeks. After that I had two more sessions and found that my symptoms greatly improved.
At the time of writing, July 2007, I feel 100% better in every way. The biggest added bonus for me has been that the depression that I had suffered with since November 2006 - this lifted after the first session, when Janice removed some of my emotional blockages.
I really love this HK work! I am so happy with every aspect of my life now and I would recommend HK to anyone." Pat T, West Yorks

More information: the internet is full of web sites with information about allergies and food intolerances - but many of them are oriented towards selling treatments that try to deal with the discomfort of the symptoms rather than dealing with the root cause of the allergic reaction.
Others offer guidance on trying to avoid food allergens that cause problems for many people - but ingredients like wheat and milk products are included in so many processed foods that it is really difficult to avoid them in real life. So the web sites often focus on the symptoms, not the underlying cause.
However, there is one independent web site which is worth visiting if you want more information on all the common allergies and details of allergy testing. It also explains how HK can help remove the allergic reaction. See: www.test4allergies.co.uk/
